There are a variety of volunteer opportunities to serve your community in Bastrop County. Bastrop County Office of Emergency Management sponsors the Bastrop County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

    The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) organization trains people to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations in their communities. When emergencies happen, CERT members can be deployed to give critical support to first responders. CERT members can also be deployed for non-emergency projects to help the community be better prepared and to improve the safety of the community.
